Monotonous But Happy

Poem

Why must I be masculine?

Why do I get paid less?

If we all took the same approach to the task within.

There would be no excuse to stress.

We should all be the same.

In the way we play the game.

Yes, we'd be monotonous but happy.

Why must I like current trends?

Why do I not get heard?

This population contest has to end.

If we are all to see the words.

We should all agree to disagree.

Then maybe we'd see the forest for the trees.

Granted we would be monotonous but happy.

I don't care what you look like.

I don't care how you sound.

But I do care that your thoughts are weighing me to the ground.

So take a step back and hold your tongue.

And you'll discover how easily the fight can be won.

There is no justification in any way you attack me.

Why can't we all be monotonous but happy?
