Look me in the eye

Some times...

Silence still the answer

Most times...

Words spoken in easy tones

When there's words to speak

Before it's time to break

Third party fights and

Petty arguments...

Hard words and

Crushing threats...

Another slash of the soul

Another hole in my defenses...

Walls fall in perfect time

With the tears...

Safe now to break

In sanctuary...

Soft words spoken

Gently in my ear

Drowning out all thought...

It was you I wanted to hear...

All else cast away...

The tears the fears alike...

And now as you sleep beside me

I smile true...

As I realize (not for the first time)

How truly lucky I am

That I have you

About the Creator

Catherine MacKenzie

I write about murders, and murderers. I write of thoughts, confusions, victories, defeats. Of love gained and love lost. Of life in all its multi-faceted glory.
