Mom, Why Do You Think So Much About Me?

From Your Care, I’ll Build a Future

By Akshor HassanPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

I will grow up by studying.

All your hopes will come true.

When I grow up, you will have me in your service.

Mom, why do you think so much about me?

Why do your tired eyes chase my dreams endlessly?

You skip your sleep, your peace, your rest,

Just to see that I have the best.

I see you watching as I read,

Your silent prayers in every deed.

Your hands are rough, your days are long,

Yet your heart sings my future’s song.

I will grow up, I’ll make you proud,

Among the stars, I’ll stand unbowed.

With every book, with every test,

I carry your dreams close to my chest.

All your hopes, so bright, so pure,

Will bloom in me — of that be sure.

And when the world begins to see,

I’ll say, “She’s the reason I came to be.”

One day, Mom, when you’ve grown old,

With silver hair and stories told,

You’ll rest while I’ll be standing tall —

Forever yours, at every call.

So worry less, just smile and see,

The future waits — it starts with me.

And when I rise, as you believed,

Your love will be the life I’ve weaved.
