Mom, I am scared of the dark,

But with you by my side,

I know I'll be okay.

Your gentle touch,

Your warm embrace,

Chase away the shadows,

That loom over my face.

When the night falls,

And the moon is high,

I feel your presence,

As you softly sigh.

You tell me stories,

Of brave knights and fairies,

And suddenly,

The darkness doesn't seem so scary.

With your love,

I find the strength,

To face the night,

And any length.

So thank you, Mom,

For being my guide,

Through the dark,

And by my side.
