Miss Me-But Let Me Go

When I depart from earthly life,

And leave behind this mortal strife,

Don't hold me back with tears and woe,

But miss me – yet, let me go.

My soul will soar to heights unknown,

Where pain and sorrow are overthrown,

And though you'll feel an empty space,

I'll still be present in a different place.

Remember me with joy and love,

As I watch over you from above,

And treasure all the memories,

That we shared throughout our histories.

So when you think of me each day,

Don't let your heartache lead astray,

For I'm not far away, you know,

Just miss me – but, please let me go.
