The tastes of old linger on my tongue,

The meals we shared, the songs we sung,

The sweet and sour, the flavors that run,

All left behind, as we journey begun.

The touch of old lingers on my skin,

The embrace of love, the comfort within,

The softness of home, the warmth that's been,

All left behind, as the journey begins.

The road ahead is long and wide,

The destination unknown, the path untried,

The fear and excitement, the tears we've cried,

All left behind, as we journey with pride.

The memories of old will never fade,

The love we shared, the moments we've made,

The life we lived, the dreams we've portrayed,

All left behind, as the new home is laid.

The journey ahead is filled with light,

The adventure unknown, the future bright,

The hope and faith, the courage to fight,

As we move forward, with all our might.
