Small Town Sharks

A sea full of trees

in a field of corn

where the mist comes in waves

and the dreamers are born

*

beware of the sharks

lurking down near the creek

their sarcasm is sharper

than the bite of their teeth

*

small town ignorance

sure, that's what you may think

but we all wear the pants

when we spit in the sink

*

we may know everyone

by their given nicknames

not much under the sun

beats - 15 minutes of fame

*

We may be a bit slower

than you'd like us to be

a week ending churchgoer

where the forgiveness is free

*

At night as the sun sets

you will find us in awe

cause as good as it could get

this is where we belong

humor

So idyllic! For all their flaws, when small towns work for you, they're wonderful. (If you're an outsider, maybe not so much. But even then it can be good. And those sunsets are fantastic.)

This seems to be quite the description of a country dweller.
