Beneath the moon's shimmering light,
You and I, nestled beneath a tree's canopy,
Clasping each other's beating hearts tightly.
When you remarked on the moon's allure,
Gazing into your eyes,
I softly echoed, "Indeed, it is.
"Drawing me nearer,
you placed a gentle kiss,
Upon my forehead, sparking a shy smile,
As I blushed with delight.
But abruptly,
call from my mother broke the spell, J
olting me from my dreamy haze,
Leaving me with a sigh as I rose from slumber.
With a blend of laughter and sorrow,
I whispered to myself,
"You're only mine within the realm of dreams.
"Staring at your image on my phone's screen,
I dared to ask, "Will you love me?
"With a knowing grin, I breathed out a sigh,
Yearning for your love not just in dreams,
But in reality's embrace.
