Metaphors with the gene
brief poem about genetics

A metaphor specifically refers to something else. And in life, there are metaphors.
And for the worshiping adorers
genes are still the most powerful deity.
an inheritance passed
to the offspring from an ancestor
Still, the much more mighty saint is the protein.
But life is a chance
second acts occur in life
silent taste to go by
and on the ground the leaf flows
if the gold is still or not
and there's no grievance
We don't believe life gives equally
and the gene is responsible in no limited amounts
and we all sit here and write from it
and with the strength the gene gives us all
Metaphors occur with the gene
