In the depths of my heart, you reside

A love that forever will abide

Every day, every night, I feel you near

But your absence, my dear, is what I fear

The memories we shared, so sweet and true

Are now the cause of my melancholic hue

Your laughter, your smile, your gentle touch

Are now mere shadows that I miss so much

In the quiet of the night, I hear your voice

A whisper in the wind, a bittersweet noise

It haunts me with a pain that never fades

A love that remains, but forever jades

Oh, how I wish you were still here

To chase away the sadness and the fear

But until then, I hold on tight

To the memories of you, my guiding light
