Melted

almost human again

i held you close

but not too tight

you felt really good

it felt so right

the comfort, the calm

with you in my arms

nestled, nuzzling

you, and your charms

and for a second

we stopped time

your body, slowly

melted into mine

no stop

no pause

i let my body

melt into yours

you felt so good

you felt fine

your body, softly

melted into mine

on my lap

in my face

close not out of place

closer than skin

rumpled in fashion

right next to you

stirring this passion

leant in, kissed your cheek

stayed close

took your hands in mine

i felt your warm breath

rise up my throat

as you lifted your head

nostrils flared

your lips parted

like a delicate flower

i could taste you

we heated

the very air

around us

and in this

shimmering haze

all i could do

all i can do

is look at you

love poems
