There is a girl that exists,

whose presence is one that you might crave.

Though broken by life, she still persists,

and may remind you how to be brave.

She was meant to be compassionate & tender,

yet the world and life made her hard.

People want to bend and break her,

so her heart is always on guard.

If you look close enough, her eyes are wise,

and inside lives a fire and a spark.

Yet, hardly anyone chooses to analyze

and she wonders if she’ll always be in the dark.

Beneath layers of indifference and ice,

her essence is a powerhouse of light.

Is there anyone inclined to roll the dice,

willing to care and to hold on tight?

This is a girl whose faith may waver,

who still looks at the stars and makes wishes,

Hoping that someday love will turn in her favor,

and that others’ actions will be all but malicious.

If by chance you get to meet her,

her passion is steadfast and ablaze,
