MAYBE

2/20/24

Maybe...

We were always meant to say goodbye!

WheN?

When did you think...

When do you think we knew?

I knew the moment I met you.

Yet, it is the little twinges you learn to ignore...

Surely,

For me,

For you,

There must be more!

In your eyes,

What did you see?

A man I'd never be!?

You were willing to see a unicorn,

Castles in the air,

Double rainbows...

So much air,

Beautiful but rare!

You fought gravity...and,

Gravity is a beast,

Respects none..

you least...

Hates dreams,

With all its in-betweens!

Brings them crashing down...

But it was beautiful,

Was it not?

Perhaps? Yet...

Were we always meant to say goodbye?

i HEAR...

I feel the melancholy wind whisper...

...mayyyybe...
