May I get an Oil Change, please?

I took off work for an appointment, today.

Dropped myself off at the shop.

Something isn’t working right. Not quite sure.

There’s a noise, you see? Listen. Right there.

It comes and goes. Not steady, really.

Popping up when I least expect it

but when it comes, it’s deafening.

Hard to focus with all that wailing.

No clue where it came from, or when it started.

Honestly, could be from the Fall.

That little accident hit me hard and out of the blue!

But it was long ago– impossible to be the cause.

Or maybe it's from New Year’s Eve. That was… bad.

Reckless, really, and no one to blame but myself.

Except I barely remember it, so no damage done!

I guess there also was that time in Spring.

But that was my fault, I asked for it,

so I can’t complain about the dents.

Who knows? Hopefully, they can help me out.

A quick tune-up and I’ll be on my way.
