There once lived a damsel
Of the kingdom of Dunamzel
Who was loathe to marry
Any man who could not carry
A barrel of salted herring
So she packed her gear and ring
And set out to conquer her dream
To find a dragon who liked to eat cream
For a deal she wanted to make
With the flying lizard of the lake
Well, he found her at the crossroads
Of the Twenty Toads
And off he did fly
To his cave on the Plains of the Sky
Where he treated her like any old sinner
And he planned on eating her for dinner
Instead, this damsel named Matilda
Entertained the dragon with tales of Lialda
Buying back her life
From the dragon’s strife
In the process, a new friend made
Who would come to her aid
And chase away any would-be suitor
Or eat a looter
Depending on the circumstances at the time
While the damsel drank coconut and lime
