Words on paper
Flicker
Light giving source
A figment
Chased one moment
To the next-
Dark text vanishing
To cleared page
In confusion’s flood
As dark spots
Erupt in peripheral
As though existence
Was never questioned
A sure thing-
Spoken allowed
Lost in space,
Exit lips
To be caught by dust
Pulled away
To land far-
Their meanings twisted
Tumbled and shaken
Poured over ice
And swallowed
Empty calories
Stored on hips
And behind eye socket-
Only methods watched
Movements retained
To create a meaning
From the ingredients tossed-
The truth of the matter
Was the moving mass
The physical element
Painted there
By biological being
The sweat- or lack of-
Created in solitary moment
When the truth needed
To make itself known-
The decision of the lack
Of space
The lack of fulfillment
The ultimate reason
For the severed cord
And the words rubbed out
By an eraser already stubbed
From years of expectations
Thwarted by action.

Have you encountered a time when you become so enthused, excited, or just so involved in what you are writing, that you actually break out in a sweat? I know it is easy to have the tears roll as you write, but what about a sweat?
Just lovely. 🖤
