Every heavenly body in the galaxy, every sparkling star
Carries within a tiny reflection
Lit by a vision of you,
In the moonlight on a cloudless night
Pausing, lips pursed in awe.
Some memories lodge themselves so deeply, they
Eclipse the impossible distance between then and now.

I feel the love and devotion!!
I love the scenery it paints in the mind of the reader. It kind of makes me want to dream again.
So, so beautiful, John. I'm lost for words!
This was, as the kids say these days, All the feels. I'm pretty sure they say something like that. Probably.
Awww, this was so sweet and lovely! Such a wonderful Acrostic!
Your last line is wonderful: 'Eclipse the impossible distance between then and now.'
John, this is just glorious. Such a lovely poem. It has made my heart swell.
oh, my hats off to you, Mr Cox. All of them. What a beautiful love letter/serenade to your good lady! What a gorgeous piece to slide in during the closing hours of the challenge too! Well done, sir! Exquisite!
This is a spectacular love letter.
Wow! I'm impressed! Loved your poem🫶
Lovely and so heartfelt. Great entry.
So beautiful, John, my talented friend. You really capture the enormity and mystery of love and our human need to belong to the universe while meeting the challenge parameters.
Oh, what a poet you are, John!!
Wow! This is so stunningly beautiful and pure! There have been so many amazing eclipse acrostics but this one is really something special! I’ve already read it four times and I can’t get enough! The balance of simple particulars and incredible emotional weight is magical. I was about to stop reading tonight right before I saw this notification and I’m so glad I didn’t! Just wonderful, John!
Beautifully poetic, John! Way to get this last-minute entry in there. It's definitely a contender!
