Dizzy with delight, she twirled, swirled and spun

Inspired by the jewel on her left hand.

Settling into dull domesticity?

That is no fate for such a brilliant star

Radiant and demure, or so it seemed.

Acting from desire for a titled name?

Could she adapt? Learn to follow the rules?

The constant pressure was too much to bear

In walking away, racism was to blame

On Oprah and Netflix, she aired her claims.

Now who to believe – the Family or her?

I read fiction. I breathe fiction - all kinds of fiction.

I love reading work which stimulates my imagination and takes me to new places.
