Mandy
By Shimica Leng
Anonymous letters left in her locker from a secret admirer.
Because he was a nobody to her.
Class was out for the summer break.
Dragging his feet for he was burdened by the weight of his own heart ache.
Everyone looks at him like a disease.
Forget me not, please.
Grand gestures go without thanks.
Highschoolers pull the most horrible pranks.
Is it in the way he walks? Is it in the way he talks?
Justin is different…he gets on the internet and stalks.
Keenly he likes all the posts of the subject of his infatuation.
Lingering in the dark in the alley just beyond the train station.
Mandy can be seen exiting the doors of the carriage.
Night grew quickly and he pictured their marriage.
Often the wave of possession would rise so tall.
Peeking around the corner of a filthy alley wall.
Quickly he thinks of ways to stall.
Rushing silently yet swiftly closer towards Mandy’s iridescent presence.
She is on the phone just finishing her sentence.
The time is now and he makes his move.
Unable to suppress intrusive thoughts, even though others disapprove
Violently he grabs Mandy by the arm on her right.
When no one was watching in the dark of that night.
X-ray vision could have saved Mandy’s life.
Yet in the dark, no one saw the knife.
Ziplock bag in hand, he places the heart of his future wife.

Oh so dark. Lots of murderings going on here lately. So delicious, I mean so really awfully bad, 🤔. Still, don't be hating and stalking. It is bad.
Well written! Good job!
