Mam And Dad

They died and I changed. I went from a happy girl, to sad

Mam And Dad

Mam and Dad Are Gone now.

The house feels empty, quiet, still,

No warmth to soften the coldest chill.

Mam’s laughter echoes in my ears,

Dad’s steady voice, gone now, so fast.

I call their names into the air,

But only silence answers there.

No arms to hold me, no soft reply,

Just questions whispered to the sky.

Did they know how much I’d needed them?

Mam’s love, a heart to lead us all.

Now I feel lost, like a ship at sea,

Adrift in memories that won’t let me be.

Anger blooms where sadness lies,

A bitter flame that never dies.

How could they leave, how could they go,

And leave me here to face this sorrow?

Time may dull but it can’t erase

The empty space, their missing faces.

Though life moves on, I hold on tight,

With cherished thoughts of them, day and night

Rest in peace, Mam and Dad, I Love and miss you both so much every day. ♥️♥️♥️ George And Elsie Hurst ♥️♥️♥️
