Dancing to colourful gardens
Running with small worlds in the middle of the night
Before work in the dark
And smoky haze of steaming milky teas
In dim candle light before anyone is up and amok
Finds time in the other
The other time
The space
The blank spaces she calls mine
In the worlds within
Pauses the clock to dance to colourful
Gardens and stages and night
The woman with silvery spoons in her hair
And beads on the red handbag perched on her chair
She is colour, loud, runs in the mind amok
Find time to spark, before work in the dark
Under sewn quilts or under apple trees
If the neighbours see you they might think you’re weird
If the neighbours see you, they might think: I want in
Dance to colourful gardens and shining starry eyes
Dance in the rain, closed eyes
Make it your own. Your time.
