Lust & Love

A poem on lust and love

Lust and love, two emotions strong,

One born of passion, the other lifelong.

Lust a flame, burning bright and hot,

Love a steady flame, never to be forgot.

Lust a desire, for flesh and skin,

Love a longing, for the soul within.

Lust a fleeting thrill, a moment's rush,

Love a steady beat, a heart's sweet hush.

Lust a hunger, for what we see,

Love a connection, deeper than we.

Lust a temptation, a siren's call,

Love a foundation, for life's great hall.

Lust a hunger, that must be fed,

Love a promise, never to be bled.

Lust a passion, that can't be denied,

Love a commitment, forever tied.

Lust and love, two sides of one coin,

One hot and wild, the other to enjoin.

Lust a flame, that can burn us all,

Love a light, that can break down walls.

In the end, it is love that will last,

A flame that will forever cast,

A light on our path, through thick and thin,

A love that will never dim or grow thin.
