Romeo And Juliet -esk
I saw it this morning, the pull of the moon
as he hung there, with her, in the sky
She resembled the calm of a morning in June
I shielded her light from my eyes
To see them together, it's easy to see
the oneness their union displays
Her warmth caresses the waves, as he tosses the sea
while in the deep of the forenoon, they play
Brightly and excited she greets him
as she climbs the horizon at dawn
He lovingly surrenders the first daylights brim
as the newness of day bids, him gone
Some days, like today, you can see him
admiring her, as she does what she does
Waking us all to her beauty
Showering us with her love

Magnificent, Kelli! Loved the concept of the sun and moon like star crossed lovers! “Her warmth caresses the waves, as he tosses the sea” was such a good line
Every once in a while they get to see one another (from our point of view; from their point of view the only time they don't is during a lunar eclipse).
Whoaaa, this was so stunning and mesmerising! Loved your poem!
This is so delightfully written with them both lovingly interacting. “ He lovingly surrenders the first daylights brim as the newness of day bids, him gone.” I love it… & sunrise & sunset.🤩
Wow. Simply wow.
What a lovey way to paint a sunset! I love the imagery here.
What a way to picture a sunrise. Beautiful work.
Absolutely beautiful. :)
