I.
Stand alone
Among the waving trees
And the wandering brook,
Listen to Earth,
It's soothing words
And warlike tones
Wait for peace
Be strong for war,
Know the truth within
Before searching for other.
Brilliant is the one
Who survives alone,
Not depending upon
Lesser figure for growth.
II.
The sun rises,
Chased by the moon
Who carries darkness
As its only friend.
It does not chase
But leads
Constantly full
With brilliant light
Illuminating way.
III.
The moon loses self
Slivers each day,
As it tries to win
The sun's affection,
Ignorant of own beauty
And guiding light in
Dark sky
As it feeds obsession
And suffers ego strikes.
IV.
The moon questions
Inability to be loved,
Blinded by anger
Misguided desires
It creates own weakness
Believes sun is obsessed;
Reality cuts-
Sun only follows
To illuminate truth of day
And awaken lovers
From dreary dreams.
V.
Stand alone
Be whole beside the river
Listen to the leaves
As they fall to earth
Whispering sweet things
Of themselves
Concerned with their path,
Not the life of another.
