I went so high that I reached the sky

the angels were waiting for me, you see

Their light was so beautiful and bright

that I temporarily lost my sight

They whispered soft words of comfort

asking me why I had chosen tonight

I tried to speak but the words would not come

So, I laid there bathing in their divine light

letting them hover above me

My heart matched the fluttering of their wings

like I had been a child again with a new drum

I had come but soon would need to leave

This place had not been made for me

I was a visitor being welcomed

soon I would need to take heed
