Loving Distraction
An Acrostic for the Dancing with Distraction Challenge
Don't...give up
I know it's hard
So many things in life are bringing you down
Trying to snuff you out
Right now, where your head's at
Actually scares me, but I can't argue or dismiss your feelings
Could we agree to discuss it more...to give it time?
This decision you're about to make - you only get to make once
I...don't want to lose you....I don't want you to lose you
Obstacles, though they seem insurmountable now, are only temporary
Never feel alone. You are never alone.

Another great piece for our perusal and edification - loved it! So fresh and full of good!
Ooph. This was hard to read but something I really resonate with right now. Not at all what I expected from this challenge but beautifully done!
Gah, this made me feel too much...I knew there was a reason I didn't comment before. I loved the gentle encouragement and support in your words. The other parts were hard to read. Lovely work, truly :)
Paul, this was so beautiful, uplifting and inspiring! These were some words I needed to hear/ read today! Thank you! 💜
Excellent poem & message. Though I do have one question. How long before "temporary" legitimately becomes more like "chronic" or "permanent"? (Asking for a friend.)
You are pretty nice sometimes. ❤️👍☺️
Inspiring words! A powerful reminder to keep fighting and to graciously offer understanding, patience, and encouragement to ourselves or those in our lives who may be struggling. This poem truly sounds like the voice of a caring friend. Nice work, Paul!
Wow. This is really powerful. The line about only getting to make that decision once hit hard. Well done, my friend.
I wish some people know how deeply we actually care for them! Loved your poem!
