"The others had left a deep rooting stain."

By Andrew SchraderPublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

The sizzling temperature of my vein

Feels like a premature, familiar pain

I carry an uncomfortable shame

That I willingly play this stupid game

My will too weak that I cannot contain

Feelings that now stir, but not to remain

The thoughts that no one have yet come to claim

Manifest into a mind full of blame

Strong guilt continues to pound through my brain

Truth and solace I just cannot attain

Memories that sting with a fiery shame

Goodness of time that I fail to reclaim

The others had left a deep rooting stain

And every reward is prudent and vain

The shards of loving that I fail to tame

All come from one long twilight with that dame
