I loved so many
And gave to so many
And accepted anything from the many
-
But him
I swear there was never one like him
I swear they didn't reciprocate my dedication like him
-
He could never be
Would never allow himself to be
Grouped in the mediocrity
Of the many
-
They many were inept
They couldn't draw my heart to theirs
Because they didn't have the utensils he has
-
The many haphazardly handled my heart
And imprinted scars on my soul
-
But he noticed them
And medicated them
He scaled walls to mend the lesions left by the many
-
And I being the one
Who had searched the many for him
And gave the many what I was supposed to give him
Cried out
Screams of regret and pain
Of what I had
Wasted on the many
And he hushed my mouth
And told me of his many
He was holding onto
And we both simultaneously let go of our many
And he had me
And I had him
