Love you

...

By T. LichtPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Sometimes I feel like hugging you till the tightness in my chest chokes.

And I want to whisper in your ear just how much I love you,

Just how much you matter to me.

And I want to bequeath those bursting feelings to you,

So you too can feel giddy with aliveness too.

Sometimes I just want to tell you

I love you,

With such love that love itself fails short

So I don't say it.

I live it and breathe it and give it

with every ironed shirt and every breakfast pancake

with every 'stay safe' text and joking emoji message

Screaming without saying, I love you.
