Love's Warmth

A Poem About How Comforting True Love Is

By RH FowlerPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

In a world

That can sometimes

Be so unreasonably

Cold,

We must embrace all of

The warmth

That love creates.

This will take practice,

My dear,

Because it is not

Natural

For humans

To focus

On love.

Oh no, for you see,

We get far too caught up

In thinking about

Our shortcomings

That we forget all about

The magic

Already existing

In our lives.

We must hold on

To this magic,

We must hold on

To all of the love

We encounter,

And we must remember

How comforting it is

When it seems like

The world

Is against us,

And the icy sting

Of adversity

Comes knocking

At the door.
