Love, Lust, And Intellect

Lust at first Depth

Can there be love at first depth, rather than first glance?

When you walk into a room, and it happens perchance,

That there's a conversation going on, between the willfully strong,

And it just so happens that while the conversing's going on,

YOU find yourself indulging in one.

You start to imagine all of the fun, that you two could have when the conversation's all done.

And the more that you listen to all of their words, the more your desires sinuously burn.

Their views, and ideas, such understanding, compassion,

Leaves you wanting to pin them to the wall; "What's up baby, what's happening?".

And yet, further back in the depths of your mind, you want to wine and dine, and pick at their mind, for hours and hours, of seemingly endless time.

And as you hear their raw emotion, in every word that is spoken,

You start to wonder about the pieces that are broken.

The things they have seen, the places they must've gone, Their joys, fears, accomplishments, and things gone horribly wrong.

The strength in their convection, determination in their stance,

Has left you standing there, breathless, just listening, entranced.

Wanting to know who they are, where they're from, about their life,

While also wanting to grip them by their hair late at night.

Their flame, their passion, their knowledge, their core,

Has you now feeling addicted, and that you just must know more.

So now sitting intently, your eyes start to gaze, over the beautiful features that align for their face.

A slight charming grin, when they feel close to a win;

How soft are those lips? And where have they been?

Their glistening hair, while they run there fingers through there,

In frustration when their words seem to fall flat on air.

Their pulsating vein, in their firm locked jaw,

Brings flaming desires of wanting to caress it all.

But just like that, before you know it, the conversing's all done,

And as your eyes shift back and forth, taking in each one,

You pay close attention to their humble demeanor,

Even after a heated go, they couldn't be sweeter.

And that makes it worse, when there's a heart with that brain,

To let them leave with out uttering a word now would be quiet a shame,

Or can you at least get the courage to tell them your name,

Hopefully, maybe, they wont think you're insane,

Let's just start with "Hey."

About the Creator

Josie Del Valle

I'm a down to earth person, as anyone else. My writings come from moments in time that have inspired me. These are thoughts I dare not utter out loud. My writings are not for everyone, and they were not meant to be. They simply are me.
