Love Isn't Enough

It’s okay to be lovestruck, but never lose your mind. Someone who loves you deeply may not necessarily bring you happiness. Therefore, "happiness" and "being loved" are not directly related.

After a few relationships, you’ll discover that the precious qualities of love—honesty, responsibility, dedication, loyalty, empathy, and self-sacrifice—are not determined by the act of loving or being loved, but by a person’s character. They are determined by the kind of person the other party is and the person they aspire to be.

A selfish, hypocritical, cowardly, or shallow person—no matter how much they love you—cannot provide these qualities. These admirable traits are not always innate; courage, responsibility, and maturity are learned and honed by life. People often develop a sense of responsibility and mission only after they have truly grown up.

In most relationships, there is mutual love. However, "love-hate relationships" often stem from one or both parties lacking these essential qualities, which diminishes the quality of the relationship itself. How much someone loves you is a subjective question with no definitive answer, and you must understand that love can change.

Logically, it is happiness that leads to being loved, not the other way around. If someone is inherently happy, continuously creates happiness, and shares it with you unconditionally, you will naturally be drawn to them. True, ideal love is finding someone who is inherently good and of high character, then relaxing and enjoying the journey. Even if you don't end up together, a person of character will never seek to hurt you.
