Love Is Wealth

The world paints a misguided picture of who you are.

Status, resources, clothing, wealth....

It's almost as if there's this sacred rule that you are nothing without those things.

As if people can never go the distance

Without harnessing those things.

But tell me, what does it mean to go the distance?

If, by going the distance, you mean living a satisfied life,

Wanting for nothing

And never experiencing a desire that's out of your reach.

Yeah, that's going the distance.

But, no.

No, no, no, no!

You're mistaken.

Going the distance to me, is reaching a hurting people

And seeing hearts restored.

Okay, yeah, sure...

Wealth and status help achieve those things.

But you can't tell me that's the only way to reach people.

I have seen people change their wicked ways with the warmth of one GENUINE hug.

I have seen trauma ridden people

Begin to heal

Only because someone dared enough to CARE!

I have seen many things done, without the plaguing obsession of money and power.

Do people need money? Um, that's a big fat yes.

It's when money becomes the only motive

That evil rears its ugly little head.

That's when self destruction ensues,

And darkness settles.

The only way I'll be impressed with someone

Is if they are wealthy in powerful love.

Only then can someone be deemed trust-worthy

To take on world issues.

And no,

I don't mean blinded by "let's all hold hands and sing by the fire" kind of love.

I mean love that accepts people in their flaws but takes shit from no one.

That is the kind of power I have seen transform lives.

That is the kind of power I've seen truly make things happen.

As a matter of fact, it is that power that attracts wealth,

Because love

Is wealth itself.
