Love is the idea we long for
On both our best and bad days
Vain but also full of life
Ever does it live, even for the dead
It can be for the self
Safe in the care of our soul
And even when it goes
Love is not gone
Love goes past time and its bind
You can hold it near and dear
Or you can let it fly and be free
Unto any and all who care to have it
Now we must act on its whim
Ears to help us hear its call
Eyes to see its sign
Do for love what we need
