LOVE is COMPLICATED !
It NEVER works on its OWN, we HAVE to MAKE it WORK!
In the tangle of hearts, a story unfolds,
A complicated love, as the mystery holds.
It's a dance of contradictions, a symphony's grace,
A myriad of feelings, in this complex embrace.

Two souls collide, like stars in the night,
Intricately woven, their love takes flight.
A web of emotions, both pleasure and pain,
In the heart's secret chamber, they're bound to remain.

One moment, like fire, they burn bright and bold,
The next, in a tempest, their love seems cold.
Complicated, it is, this journey they tread,
With words left unspoken, and feelings unsaid.

In the depths of their passion, they find no reprieve,
Yet it's in this turmoil, their hearts truly believe.
For a love that's complicated, tangled, and deep,
Is a love that's worth keeping, a promise to keep.
*
Through the storms and the chaos, they still find their way,
In this intricate love, they continue to sway.
For it's in the complications, the twists and the turns,
That a love so profound, forever burns.
*
So let's not shy away from love's tangled embrace,
For it's in its complexity, we find our true grace.
In the chaos and beauty, we discover the art,
Of a love that's complicated but eternally in our heart.

A Flower Song
Apparently the Aztecs, Toltecs, Chichimecs and other Mexica were crazy about poetry. Despite the book-burning, slaughter, and epidemics that characterized the early stages of the Spanish conquest of the empires of Mexico, some hundreds of poems from the height of their tradition come down to us in Classical Nahuatl, preserved by Nahua and Spanish scholars of the 16th century. One of the most famous poets, Nezahualcoyotl, was a sage-king who opposed the cult of human sacrifice associated with Tezcatlipoca, God of the Smoking Mirror, and favored Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent. Flowers and feathers were the favorite offering of the Plumed Serpent. Moreover, flowers and feathers are a metaphor for poetry. Individual words, scattered petals, the down of tropical birds. The temples of blood sacrifice could be transformed into temples of flower and song. A sublimated offering to the Heart of Earth and the Heart of Sky encapsulated in the Classical Nahuatl kenning for poetry: in xōchitl in cuīcatl, meaning, "the flower and the song."
