Love Is Blue

Isn't that right?

By DELLPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Love is blue

Once a person asked

Describe 'love'.

I said it's blue.

Confused the man frowned,

Chuckled I explained.

Love is indefinite,

It's vast as the sky above,

And deep as the ocean below.

Love is the fruit the male Satin Bowership offers it's mate,

Or like the daisies found in Western Cape.

It's the feeling of staying in the centre of a rainbow,

Or the feeling of watching a peacock dance before it rains.

It's the emotion I feel while writing this poem with my blue ink,

Or like the waves that keep returning,

No matter the number of times they sink.

It's something that lingers like a song-

And you can't forget,

So what more reasons do you need

To say love is blue?
