Love Has No Rules
Love has no rules, no chalk lines on the floor,
No book that tells the heart what it should do.
It walks in barefoot, knocks once, then stays,
Leaving its fingerprints on everything you knew.
It does not ask permission from the past,
It does not bow to reason or to time.
It burns through doubt like paper in a flame,
And calls the chaos something close to home.
Love has no rules, no promise it will last,
No safety net beneath the fall it brings.
It gives with open hands, then takes the breath,
And dares you still to call it everything.
I tried to tame it, tried to make it neat,
Tried naming every risk and every scar.
Love only smiled, then stepped into my chest,
And proved the heart was never meant for bars.
