Love Can Bounce Away

Once upon a time, there was a girl with a bounce in her step. She would stop and gaze at the clouds and butterflies. With a book in hand and a dreaming heart of adventure, she skipped about without a doubt.

The world did not understand her. She didn't connect to social groups and parties the way others did. She didn't work the mainstream hours. She didn't hunt for love like the fishermen evermore after their best catch. She dreamt of adventure however far it meant in discovering a thrilling new batch.

One particularly hot and gloomy day. Darkened clouds hovered overhead. She skipped to safety but at the last step, she had a muddle, slipped and her book fell in a puddle.

Her arm leaped to grab the book, but instead, she grabbed a strange boy's hand. With cheeks as red as roses he stated: are you bouncing Rossini who's ever so dreamy?

She nodded and the boy replied how fascinating you are, so different, so kind. I work in a bookstore please let me correct your bind.

As time turned its hands seconds became minutes, minutes became hours and hours became days. On this particular day, the pair bonded so tightly under a blanket of grey.

Not once did it occur to speak of such important matters of life. The pair dazed about one skipping the other walking. Others began to notice the impact of love upon the skipping girl's heart. Her adventure days remembered only through photo art.

Time continued to tick. And this particular year the couple found themselves at quite the conundrum. Their lives had melded into one and the zipline to divide could not be found. Unwilling to resolve as others knew how the boy pulled away and left a pound.

The moment stood still. Others would stop and stare. A cloud fell over the land pouring itself out, as too the girl who had a bounce in her step. Her face wet with flowing tears matching the speed of the cloud. A golden pound lay in a puddle. Over Rossini stepped and continued to walk. The spring in her step fell far away. In hope of love deep in the heart, should it return one day.
