Love at the Lake

A Poem

The smile of pure joy on your face; the kind that makes your lips purse and your eyes squint. Sweaty palms and a flutter of nerves in your chest like a hummingbird taking flight. I pull you in close to feel your warmth against me as we capture the memory in a photograph so that we may never forget the happiness we shared on as beautiful a day as possible. I wish this feeling would last forever.

We join hands and become one in the moment as we watch the waves crash against the rocks in front of us. We find a nice shady spot in the grass and daydream as we gaze upon the clouds with absolute wonder as we talk about our dreams to share a life on the road together. Two free spirits brought together in a heavenly moment. The breeze flowing through our hair carelessly yet so perfectly. You look divine, like an angel was created just for me. Sealed with a kiss, a moment of bliss, that survives in our hearts and minds forever more.
