The steady melody

The steady melody of tranquillity is lost on me

The only hope of stability hit the rocks for me

Everybody has a story of love and loss it seems,

but what does it mean when I never wanted to lose you,

and you never wanted to lose me?

I go to bed hungry,

but not because I need to eat

I miss the nourishment of everything you gave to me

Now I face the punishment of never knowing what we could of been

Everyone has a story of love and loss it seems,

but what does it mean when I never wanted to lose you,

and you never wanted to lose me?

Oh very deep. Want more from you.

  • "I go to bed hungry, but not because I need to eat I miss the nourishment of everything you gave to me Now I face the punishment of never knowing what we could of been" These lines were so profound! Loved your poem!
