Love and hatred
A sorrow so deep that it pierces my soul like a dagger's kiss
In love's sweet embrace, my heart sings
A melody of joy, a chorus of bliss
But the bitter sting of hatred pains me

Love's gentle touch lifts my heart
A feeling so pure, that it takes my breath away
But hate's icy grip leaves me cold
A feeling so intense that it makes me helpless
In the warm light of love, I see a bright day
The future is so bright that it chases away all fears
But the dark shadow of hatred is very close
A danger so real it brings me to tears
Love's sweet embrace heals my soul
A balm so sweet it makes me whole
But hate's cruel hand pulls me apart
A wound so deep that it leaves me scarred and broken-hearted
In love's gentle gaze, I see a glimmer of hope
A promise so bright that it gives me the strength to cope
But the venomous gaze of hatred weakens me
A poison so deadly that it makes me weep
Love's soft voice whispers nothing sweeter in my ear
A melody so sweet that it calms my fears
But harsh words of hatred pierce my heart like a sword
A pain so sharp that it makes me feel torn and scarred
In love's embrace, I find my peace
A consolation so true, it releases
But the bitter grip of hatred makes me convulse
A storm is so fierce that it leaves me feeling lost and dirty
Love's gentle touch heals my heart

EXCELLENT. Been there, until I realized that hate is more powerful than feeling nothing. It took effort on my part, but I turned all my hate into indifference. Brilliantly done.
