Love/Addiction, Love Addiction

To love the part that's lovable is easy,

The crazy guy I met online

Bouncing around like tigger

So full of potential.

***

Then there is the sickness

The darkness's, yes multiple darkness,

The deep depression that fills me with dread

The next stage is destruction of me.

***

I see the monster coming

Through the swirling damp depression

Oozling it's self into our home

Addiction rears it's mighty head.

***

Hair-trigger pings. It's landed.

Now I wait for it to come to light.

Will I discover it? The boys?

Light will surely find it.

***

Then, it will crush my stitched up,

Patched, pinned and mended heart once more.

I know it's coming. Until it's found

I mourn the consumption of my dearest friend.

***

It's only when the addiction-filled abscess

Bursts it's poison. Then,

He is released,

And rebuilding starts anew.
