Lost In The Mist

A Jason Morton Poem

Only in such a world of colors vast and wide,

Where brilliant hues and mystic shades forever will reside,

Somewhere behind the mist, there's a captivating sight to behold,

It's a mesmerizing tale that around campfires will often be told.

Of all the eyes that grace our dear sweet Earth,

Once set and one owner, in particular, holds great worth,

A tranquil shade of beauty that steals away hearts,

A deep and serene blue, where onlookers swear that magic starts.

Within those seductive orbs awaits a celestial spell,

Glowing like sapphires gleaming in a hidden well,

In the darkness, the shimmer and sparkle, serene and so bright,

A majestic ocean, the view on a moonlit night.

Oh, those enthralling eyes, a window to her soul,

Whispering softly the secrets that no other heart may know,

Like an endless sky, endless dreams they do hold,

A magical tapestry of stories yet untold.

In the depths of those blue wells, a world of mystery resides,

Where passions and desires forever softly hide,

They tell of longing, and of love and great pain,

A silent, poetic story, that's hard to explain.

Inside them are echoes of long-forgotten tales,

The ancient legends and magic fables from many veiled trails,

They harbor secrets, both old and new,

Deep into the azure depths, there's a world to pursue.

Like soft and gentle waves upon a white sandy shore,

The azure blue magic in those eyes beckons you to explore and adore,

Lose yourself in their alluring gaze,

Be sucked in and trapped in their mysterious maze.

In those blue eyes, you'll find solace and peace,

A moment's respite, a sweet soul's release,

They bring tranquility, a calming embrace,

And serenade you with their gentle grace.

So cherish her gifts and wonder into the soul behind her eyes,

Fly with her on spread wings, enjoy vast and wonderful open skies,

Within the doors to her depths, your universe unfurls,

Like children so innocent as she excitedly twirls.

Behind that world of colors that shine like no other,

You'll be captivated by her celestial smother,

Behold the beauty of endlessness and forever blue,

Remember that the woman in the mist has come for you.
