Lost

I was there

I knew where I was

Then just like that

It was all gone

I had it all figured out

Had a plan for EVERYTHING

Not a soul could tell me differently

Then the lights went out and then I couldn’t see

The path had become altered

But why?

Why when I had it all figured out?

Should something get in the way and cause me to go somewhere different?

I wasn’t ready to travel this road!

I wasn’t ready to reach this point yet!

I wasn’t ready!! and now!!… I’m lost

Lost because now….

Now it’s out of my control

Now it’s not up to me

Now it’s up to the universe

My Angels and my ancestors.

But why? Surely they knew what I was doing?

Surely they knew I had a plan

Surely they knew…

And yet they did.

They showed me

that just because you see the lake

Just because you can see how big it is…

Doesn’t mean you can see it all….

You can only see so close

And you can only see so far.

That’s your life…and that’s mine

Just because we can see some of it

Doesn’t mean we control all of it

We will get lost….but we really aren’t

We are all right where we need to be
