Looking Through the Glass
Inspired by the Holocaust
Suffering
We all feel it
But why?
Why must we put that feeling upon others?
Because we can overpower them?
Because we feel
Inferior.
This feeling is depressing.
To not think,
What if it was me?
It could have easily been me,
But it isn't.
So why I ask,
Why must they be treated this way?
Why do we decide that we will—
Break others
As if they were an
Already broken piece of glass,
All because we feel they aren't good enough
The way they are.
I can never understand,
Why can't my father and other Nazi soldiers,
See the sadness and sorrow
That they have been blinded from for so long.
Too long.
From what goes on
On the other side of the glass.
Too long has this gone on.
The Aryan race will never exist.
So why do we keep acting on a false belief?
Why do we have the suffering continue?
When
Will it end?
