Look Into My Eyes

(when one another is all you see.)

By Stephanie Marley McMechanPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

If you looked into my eyes

would your vision tell you lies

or will you melt into a puddle of gold

enchanted by the glare of truth you behold

Could you trust that I'm your destiny

the totality of what will and what could be

when love sneaks up on you vaguely disguised

forever changed by a vision before your eyes

When you saw me did you know I held the key

that rare chance encounter etched in perpetuity

did you want to race straight into my open arms

be enraptured by my myriad of subtle yet sweet charms

Tell me all the dreams you've trapped deeply within

the magic of your innocence and sweet sin

closing your eyes as the darkness of day crests

with my head draped softly across your chest.
