Longing Across Miles
Through trails and across oceans
In realms untamed by time's confining hand,
I traverse the labyrinth of longing's grip,
When love, a flickering flame, burns bright and grand
Across vast oceans, through each highway strip.
Maps, my compass, my guiding star afar,
Whose name invokes a thousand whispered dreams,
Your absence births an ache, a searing scar,
As distance weaves its tapestry of seams.
I yearn for your touch, that gentle caress,
The tender dance of fingers intertwined,
But fate, unkind, holds us in its duress,
Our union, paused, by spaces' cruel design.
Yet in mind's eye, I feel your embrace,
The softness of your lips against my own,
As constellations weave our love's sweet grace,
Through cosmic echoes, love's seeds are sown.
The miles may stretch, but not the bonds we share,
For love, unbounded, transcends time and space,
In whispered words and dreams, we find repair,
And paint our love on ethereal trace.
Oh, how I ache for your nearness, my dear,
To breathe your scent, to hear your whispered sights,
To bask in the aura that draws me near,
And lose myself within your tender eyes.
But until that day, when words align anew,
I'll pen my love upon the starlit page,
Each word a prayer, each verse a love that's true,
To bridge the gap, to quell this longing's rage.
So, Maps, my love, let not distance define,
The boundless realms where our hearts intertwine,
For love knows no borders, no measure miles,
It soars on wings of hope, where passion smiles.
