Lonely But Not Alone

2/14/2009

I sit there,

Lonely, but not alone

Though there are people around me,

They don’t know me,

I am…

Here but somewhere else,

I long to really be gone

But I can’t get away, can’t get away,

I just can’t leave this earthly plane.

I am…

Lonely but not alone

I lay and ponder,

Think about what life is.

Am I here? Who am I?

I am. I am.

Someone is deep inside,

Some wants out of me.

I suppress them, hinder them.

They are stronger than I.

I am…

A person who’s confused,

A person who doesn’t know what he wants,

Someone who is bound by thought

By a knot of pensiveness.

I am…

The one who is lonely,

Though not alone.

I am an individual, I think.

I want an answer to who I am.

I am.

I am someone who cares,

Someone who thinks, loves,

I am someone who believes

Innocence before guilty.

I am who I am.
