Living Like I Never Was

Vanished

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

It feels like something I’m not meant to see

Wearing this smile and invisibility

Living a life lost, somewhere in a dream

Where I am seen and loved for being me

I’m camouflaged in wanting to belong

Trying to bridge the gap between me and destiny

Living the lyrics of my favorite songs

That everybody knows but will not sing

Vanishing is easy, if you really want to know

Without the light, we all just fade away

When everything you ever wanted begins letting go

And you’re left alone with words you’ll never say
