Storm damage

The wind tears through the white landscape,

I peek outside, my mouth agape.

Broken limbs, a snapped tree,

Lots of work waits for me.

For now, my home is the escape.

Love the twist on this one. For me, home is a sanctuary, but it's never an escape. I escape it to be in nature for a while. But you turned that on its head. Great job.
